About Midwifery Department.
Fifth: Department of Midwifery – College of Medicine and Health Sciences – Hajjah University
Department Head's Message:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Midwifery at Hajjah University, one of the most vital departments in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, which is the fundamental pillar in providing safe motherhood and comprehensive healthcare for women and children, and the first building block in constructing a healthy and sound society.
The department dedicates its efforts to providing distinguished midwifery education that keeps pace with global developments in the fields of reproductive health, prenatal care, and neonatal care, relying on solid scientific foundations that combine theoretical study and intensive clinical training. We aim to produce highly competent midwives who possess deep medical knowledge, precise clinical skills, and noble human ethics. Since the safety of the mother and fetus is our ultimate goal, we pay special attention to integrating knowledge of drug interactions and the safe and rational use of medicines and drugs during pregnancy and childbirth, to ensure the delivery of healthcare based on precise scientific foundations.
The department also strives to stimulate scientific research in the fields of women's health, nutrition, and pharmacology related to obstetrics and gynecology, and works to build effective partnerships with maternity and childhood hospitals and health organizations inside and outside Yemen, contributing to reducing maternal and child mortality rates and enhancing the university's standing.
May Allah grant us success.
