Mathematics Department

The Department of Mathematics is one of the vital scientific departments that keeps pace with the rapid and continuous development in the field of mathematics. The department offers an academic educational program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.
Graduates of this program are qualified to work as mathematics teachers or specialists in mathematics, and are also prepared to pursue postgraduate studies in computer science or educational sciences.

To offer an advanced program for preparing qualified educational teachers in the field of teaching and training in mathematics applications, in order to meet labor market demands, enhance the quality of education, raise standards, and provide training services in the applications and teaching of mathematics across various educational stages in Yemeni society.

Program Objectives

1. To provide graduates with the knowledge and skills required to teach mathematics curricula at various levels of general education.

2. To equip graduates with the necessary expertise to utilize mathematical applications and technologies in educational administration and office environments.

3. To meet the needs of schools and educational administrations in the Ministry of Education for qualified personnel in the field of mathematics.

4. To develop learners’ abilities to analyze various mathematical needs in their work environments, select appropriate methods, and use mathematical applications to develop computer software and educational applications.

5. To enhance graduates’ ability to successfully use modern mathematical technologies in school and social environments, and to increase awareness of social and scientific issues related to mathematics.
