Hajjah University Organizes Two Protests in Hajjah and Abs Condemning the Burning of a Copy of the Holy Quran

Under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Taha Abdullah Al-Hamzi, Hajjah University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, organized two large protest rallies. The first was held in the city of Hajjah, the provincial capital, and the second in the Abs district, to condemn the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran.

At the two rallies, which were attended by the University Secretary-General, Professor Nasser Al-Asimi, deans and their deputies, directors-general, the Director-General of the Provincial Education Office, Professor Ali Al-Qutaib, as well as a number of academics, administrators, and students, participants raised pictures of the Holy Quran and chanted slogans condemning the silence and inaction of the Muslim world regarding the crimes of global Zionism and its agents in targeting Islamic holy sites through the burning of the Holy Quran and the desecration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The participants affirmed that this crime is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a blatant campaign of hostility waged by global Zionism and its American, British, and Israeli proxies against Islam and Muslims. This campaign is part of a comprehensive war aimed at humiliating the Muslim world, distancing it from the Holy Quran, stripping it of its source of strength, and ultimately dominating it.

Dr. Humair Al-Awar, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, explained that the university's participation in the two demonstrations stemmed from its religious responsibility and its faith-based identity, expressing its categorical rejection of the repeated and systematic insults targeting the Holy Quran as part of a declared campaign of hostility against Islam and Muslims.

Dr. Al-Awar expressed his condemnation of the apathy and silence that has gripped some leaders and peoples of the Muslim world, who have failed to be moved by any sense of zeal for the Holy Quran and Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of Zionist schemes.

The concluding statement of the Hajjah vigil was read by Dr. Yousef Al-Sabah, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences for Academic Affairs, while the statement from the Abs vigil was read by Professor Mohammed Bakheet. Both statements affirmed that the repeated insults to the Holy Quran reveal the true nature of the enemy and that the Quran is the weapon that will liberate nations if the Ummah returns to it as a guiding principle, a way of life, and a means of striving in the path of God.

The statements emphasized the necessity for the Ummah to return to the Holy Quran more than ever before, calling upon Arab and Islamic regimes and peoples to break the barrier of silence and stand against the Zionist project that targets the Ummah's sacred sites and seeks to impose a new reality in the region.

The statements warned that the real danger lies in negligence and complacency, stressing that the Ummah's silence while its sacred sites are being targeted only emboldens the enemies and exposes it to divine punishment.

The participants commended the stance of the Hajjah University community, who have been and continue to be present in the field of supporting Islam, the Quran, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), steadfast in their righteous position with dignity and resilience, responding to the call of responsibility towards what the Ummah is facing.

The two gatherings concluded with a call to all members of the educational and university community across the various governorates to fulfill their responsibility in leading the battle for awareness and belonging, so that they may be the key to the nation's renaissance and a role model for its people.
